If you’re looking for a way to immerse yourself fully in the beautiful outdoors of the Sunshine State. Below we answer a few questions you may have about renting and operating a Pontoon Boat here in Destin.
Where can we take our boat?
You can safely operate your Pontoon Boat in and around Destin Harbor, Destin East Pass, Choctawhatchee Bay, and of course, the famous Crab Island. You cannot take the Pontoon out into the Gulf of Mexico.
How old do you have to be to operate and rent a Pontoon Boat?
The person who books the pontoon boat must be at LEAST 18 years old have a valid driver’s license & credit card. Those who were born on or after Jan. 1, 1988, can operate the boat but are required to take a Florida Boaters Test. If you were born before Jan 1, 1988, you do not need this license. This test can be administered upon arrival for $3.
What am I permitted to bring with me on the Pontoon Boat?
We recommend that you bring with you:
Towels – Coolers with Food & Drinks – Sunscreen – Water Toys – Weather Appropriate Attire –Sunglasses – Camera
You cannot bring:
Glass bottles or items are strictly prohibited on the boat. Pets and grills are not allowed on boats.
How many people are permitted on the Pontoon Boat?
Most pontoon boat rentals in the area can hold up to 12 adults.
